Website transformation · Managed IT

Making invisible IT support feel tangible

EZ Solutions is a family-run managed IT provider serving growing businesses in Iowa. The company already had a compelling promise: fast, human-first support without confusing jargon, surprise costs, or endless handoffs.

The opportunity was to build a website that made that experience immediately clear.

Website transformation, and the stack behind it
Theirs

EZ Solutions built the service.

The capabilities, the six-stage operating model, the response time — all of it is theirs, and it worked before we arrived. Nothing on this page is a system we built for them.

Ours

We built the front door.

We transformed the website so that service is legible in a glance rather than a long read, and streamlined the stack of tools running behind it.

Before

The old website explained the services.

After

The new website demonstrates how the service works.

The challenge

A good promise, buried in a service list.

The existing website contained substantial information, but the strongest reasons to choose EZ Solutions were competing with a long list of services, repeated sections, and a conventional MSP presentation.

Visitors could learn what the company offered, but understanding what made the experience different required too much reading.

The transformation needed to do more than modernize the visual design. It needed to clarify the offer, communicate trust, and make an ongoing managed service feel real before a visitor ever booked a call.

The strategic shift

Lead with the outcome, then show the system.

Second Story rebuilt the experience around the customer journey, beginning with the outcome EZ Solutions provides and progressively revealing the system behind it.

Instead of leading with technical capabilities, the new story leads with a more valuable promise: your business stays managed, protected, and supported without technology becoming another responsibility on your desk.

Turning the service into a visible system

The EZ Command Center

Managed IT is difficult to photograph. Most of its value happens quietly in the background.

To solve that, we created the “EZ Command Center,” an interactive representation of the customer’s technology environment. Cloud services, endpoints, Microsoft 365, networks, servers, backups, and employee training appear as one coordinated system under active management.

Published commitments, including EZ Solutions’ approximately two-minute average response time, are brought forward as operational proof rather than left buried in body copy.

The result gives visitors a tangible picture of what “fully managed” actually means.

Simplifying the offer

Eleven capabilities, three jobs.

Eleven individual capabilities were reorganized into three jobs customers can understand immediately. The structure preserves the depth of the offering while making it significantly easier to scan and remember.

Run

Keep the business operational through technical support, tool management, patching, licensing, and vendor coordination.

Protect

Keep the business secure and recoverable through risk management, disaster recovery, documentation, and secure employee transitions.

Grow

Align technology with the company’s plans through strategic guidance and scalable cloud solutions.

Building differentiation into the experience

Show the difference. Don’t claim it.

Rather than relying on generic claims about great service, the redesigned website shows the differences between a typical MSP relationship and the EZ Solutions approach.

A six-stage operating model explains how the team monitors, detects, responds, resolves, explains, and prevents issues. Industry-specific examples make the offering more relevant, while the switching-provider experience addresses the frustrations that often cause prospective customers to start looking in the first place.

Every section reinforces the same central promise: clear answers, visible ownership, and fewer technology problems reaching the customer’s team.

A stronger digital foundation

The half nobody photographs.

The transformation also improved the underlying website structure.

Subtle motion, interactive service cards, industry scenarios, status interfaces, and contextual calls to action create a polished experience without distracting from the customer’s decision.

Behind the page, the stack running the digital front door was streamlined too — fewer moving parts between a visitor arriving and EZ Solutions hearing about it.

  • A clearer heading hierarchy
  • Semantic navigation
  • Accessible page landmarks
  • Responsive layouts
  • Structured search metadata
  • Organization, LocalBusiness and service schema
The outcome

A website that sounds like the company.

The result is a website that feels more like EZ Solutions itself: capable, responsive, approachable, and direct.

  • A sharper value proposition above the fold
  • A distinctive visual system that makes managed IT tangible
  • A clearer structure for understanding the complete service offering
  • Stronger differentiation from conventional MSP competitors
  • More intentional paths from interest to appointment
  • A scalable technical and search foundation
  • A digital presence that better reflects the quality of the company behind it

This was not simply a new coat of paint. It was a clearer way for EZ Solutions to explain its value, earn trust, and begin the customer relationship.
